Name:
Naina Priynna Khalsa
Nicknames:
Nina, bollywood-babe. (The later is more of a slur on Naina's looks)
Code Name:
Jasmine
(She developed this because due to her healing skills, she has been likened to the quickly spreading yet peaceful flower)
--
Age:
21
--
Gender:
Female
--
Powers/Special Abilities: Naina has a highly effective and powerful healing factor, which she can apply at any time and place. She has endless use of her healing powers and she can heal any extent of injury with the slightest effort.
She also has chlorokinesis, but her power isn't a particularly malicious variation, it works in sync with her desires and moods, so unless Nana has a need to protect or preserve, her powers stay calm and moderate, as she is, leaving her healing factor her most prominent asset.
Finally, Naina has the ability to send other individuals, human or mutant, into a trance. She uses various plant extracts and fragrances combined with her peace of mind and intellect to slowly calm an individual and render them useless for as long as she may need them this way. However, this does not take effect if the individual is too enraged or Naina is too distressed.
--
Appearance:
Naina has long wavy dark brown hair, which finishes around her hips. She has green/blue eyes which are considered rare in India. She has a cared for and slim figure, and soft unaccusative eyes. Naina is the ideal arranged bride.
Personality: While Naina is gentle, soft and caring, she is not naive. She is very shy and careful, and is very gentle towards anyone. She will not raise her voice unless she absolutely has to, but she is nobody's fool. She will not be taken advantage of, even if it appears that she is being used, under her gentile and beguiling outer, is a strong willed and street wise young woman.
Unfortunately, she is sometimes left by the way side due to her withdrawn nature, but Naina would rather be forgotten than neglected or made a fool of anyway.
--
Hobbies:
Reading, spending time alone in quiet areas or with animals.
History:
Naina grew up in a small village in India, and lived a very happy childhood, in harmony with her powers. Everyone in the village had come to accept her powers and knew her well. She was always involved, more confident, making the games she played with her friends that bit more interesting.
As Naina got older her mother started attempting to find her suitors. In Nana's early teens it was all a game, she would refuse these boys that swooned over her and she continued her life as usual. But the pressure began to build from her family, so, when she was nineteen she left the village to search for more in life. She'd fulfilled her childhood in her mind, so it was time for her to expand.
But, unlike her small village, people didn't know her or understand her. She was odd, foreign, and to some ugly. She didn't see herself the same way anymore. The big city was overwhelming and it's peoples stereotypes started to stunt her nature.
She explored her culture more, and realized she was beautiful only in secluded areas and bollywood. She developed the somewhat hurtful nickname, "bollywood babe".
She eventually stumbled across the school for mutants and felt somewhat more at home. How could anyone be racist when everyone was so very different from the last person? Naina felt at home, and for almost a year now, she'd settled. Even thought the initial damage to her soul could not be repaired.

Role Playing Sample:
Naina sat alone, lying on her stomach, propping her self up from her waist up using her elbow. With her free arm she caressed the grass absent-mindedly, creating small sprouts and flowers here and there. She smiled as the small creations seemed to be in gratitude to her for bringing them into this world. she smiled gently and made a sort of laugh. "Hmm".
She sighed in a satisfactory manner, an one with herself and the world. She rolled over onto her back and pulled her knees into the air. She frowned and shielded her eyes from the sun. The sunlight was brilliant this particular morning, but there was a cool breeze that made the weather perfect for loosing yourself in the world. If you couldn't feel discomfort in your surrounding your mind tends to wander.
A large shadow overcast Naina suddenly. She smiled and got up to greet whoever...."I found you, my bride!" Came an delighted and relieved voice. No... Though Naina, as her features dropped. I'm so happy....--
