Vein listened to the man behind him telling him that it wasn't a good idea to do the job interviews at his nightclub as he drove away from the Vige Building. He didn't care in the slightest for the man's opinion, but he'd forced his way into his car. If he wasn't so high up in the company he would have tossed him out. While the car was still moving. However, he had to keep his 'cover'.
"Mr. Vige, it's just not a private place, and not the best place for a job interview, and I think you should stay..." he said, but Vein cut him off.
"If I cared about your opinion I'd have asked for it before I told Ms. Gem to set the interviews there. And what do you care? You're staying here anyway," he snapped. He was sick of interacting with machines all day, that was why he was doing the interviews for his new assistant at the club in the first place. He'd been running the company for 5 years now. He'd been the head of several other companies before that, but his birth certificate said he was only 23, as did his license, so he would ignore his 'experience'.
He didn't have to wear a suit, there wouldn't be the intimidation of the applicants waiting in the large building, and there was less of a chance of being interrupted by anyone. He didn't really need the assistant, but Ruby asked him to get one so that he might seem a little more like a business executive. Not that that was the real reason she wanted to do it. She just wanted someone else who could do his running around for him.
He arrived at the bar, and looked at the man in the back of his car. "Now if you'd be so kind, get out of my car and if you get back in you'll find a pink slip on your desk in the morning." He took a seat at a booth, and told the bartender that he was expecting multiple guests. He scratched his slightly unshaven face, and ordered a drink. He was dressed in a silk shirt and a pair of cargo pants, and it would be difficult to tell that he was the one doing the interviewing. He didn't look much different then some of the people that were partying. Just he wasn't wearing the stupid hat.
