Kane was flying over the park when he heard screaming, and smelled smoke. "What the..." he said, glancing down. A small section of the park was engulfed in flames. "What a time to be a pyropath," he muttered. The section was near a small pond, and he entered a divebomb straight for it.
He'd just been heading for a fly for a while. Clear his head of the events of the last few months of his life. He hated being busy all the time, but it wasn't exactly the regular fortunatly. He usually didn't do anything all day. More recently he'd been the only one working at the conveniance store, so he'd had to work at all the shifts.
Least it hadn't been open 24 hours a day.... While it wasn't much of a conveniance store that way, the old man who ran it didn't think anyone would really need to be there at 3 in the morning getting a pack of gum.
His divebomb ended as he exploded into the water. The splash was pretty big, judging from the fact that he'd been heading straight down from about 50 or more feet up. It wouldn't be enough to douse all the flames, but it would be enough to help. He rose out of the water, his wings filled with water so he couldn't fly. They could cup with water....
"Just have to get this over to those trees..." he muttered, moving toward the flames.

Rayne had been walking a while after a rather uneventful evening at a night club. She didn’t intend on going home just yet, reason being her night was far from over. She would either stir up some trouble, or find another joint to hang out in. She normally sought her attention at a bar in the midst of truckers, chugging Buds in a rather unladylike fashion. Though, sometimes, it was difficult to find the girl under her protective shield.
Her ears picked up the sound of shouts. Confused, she moved toward the source of the shouting and saw a number of people fleeing from a huge fire. Looked like trouble was finding Rayne tonight. She shrugged out of her jacket and tied it round her waist. Leaning forward, she sent two arms out, plucking people from the fire and setting them on the ground a while away. Most of them were drunkards, who probably wouldn’t remember what had happened. Rayne often woke up with no clue where she was.
Rayne didn’t really care that Central Park was on fire. The brigade would soon turn up and sort it out. Still, Shiva needed to help out. Using her arms to propel herself forward, she was soon given a rather unpleasant shower. Good thing her makeup was waterproof. Her face would have melted and Rayne would have resembled more of a panda. Although her clothes couldn’t be helped. They stuck to her and the cold air squeezed at her bones. She glared at the culprit. Although it helped douse the fire, Rayne seemed more concerned about what she looked like.
A large, winged gentleman. Interesting. Sending out an arm with a large palm, she rose and pointed an index finger at him. This could go either way. He looked like the type to on whim set the place on fire, or, you know, sometimes leopards change their spots…Nah. That’s wrong. They never do. Rayne couldn’t be bothered to think it over anymore.
“Hey! You here to help or you gonna be a pain in the ass?”

Ah, Central Park. The perfect get away for a stressful day, even if it was that late. The park was Ashtin’s way of getting back to nature. Sure the green houses at the school where a good thing to. But the plants there were controlled, and grown for specific reasons and under the perfect environment. Out here it was all natural. And it was beautiful. The brunette strolled quietly through the greenery humming a small tune to herself as her footprints carried her along the concrete side walk.
It was peaceful and soothing to be out here. Well at least it was. It was then that the girl picked up on a disturbance being sent through the ground. Something was wrong and the plants were telling her that. Next she heard screaming, as a herd of people seemed to run away from a certain spot in the park. Then she saw it. The plume of smoke rising from the red embers that licked at the trees and grasses. Gasping in fright she acted as if she was going to run away. But then a more determined facial expression took over.
At that moment the girl’s body began to change. Her brown locks were morphing into green tendrils of vines and grasses. Brown eyes turned completely into a shade of vibrant yellow. Her clothes were replaced by a green membrane as it consumed her bodice, taking the place of her skin. When her transformation was complete, Ashtin had turned into a living plant. Sprinting forward, she called upon other shrubbery about her to help pull the water from the lake. The plants seemed to move on their own, but in all actuality they were being controlled by the woman. They were like little puppets, and she was the puppeteer.
The small army of bushes that followed her to the lake bent forward dipping their leaves into the water, cupping around the liquid to hold it. Then with a much force as possible behind it, the plants flung the water forward. Literally making it rain over the engulfed area. That’s when she noticed two others trying to help put out the fire. “Well at least other people care.” the woman’s voice stated, as she continued to move her arms instructing the plants on what to do.

As he climbed out of the water, one of his wings cupping the water in it (in a rather uncomfortable position too). The next thing he knew, there was a woman shouting at him. Apparently he'd accidently soaked her with water.... While he'd normally apologize for it at the moment he was slightly distracted. That, and the comment was rather stupid....
"No, I'm not here to help. I started the fire, I just splashed water all over the trees because it makes them burn better," his voice rather dripping with sarcasm. The comment hadn't really been thought about, and he had a feeling he would regret it in a minute. He was a pyrokinetic, true, but he couldn't really create flames like this. His came in two colours, black and white. If he'd set it on fire, it would look like that.
He wouldn't put it past Chaos though... but he wasn't a pyrokinetic. "Now it might be better if we put out the fire instead... of... what the..?" he started. He stopped mid-sentence as the bushes started moving on their own, and putting out the fire. That was... different. Kane felt like he'd stepped into Fantasia for a second or something.
He turned back to the other person, "You're seeing this to right? I'm not just hallucinating because of exhaustion and smoke inhilation?" he asked, a completely bewildered look on his face. He didn't not Ashtin, and wouldn't have recognized her if he had. Seeing as her body was all... plantie.

Rayne shot him a look. If there wasn’t a blazing fire, and the fact that Rayne sure wanted to keep her eyebrows, she probably would have done something about that comment. The hand that suspended her in the air moved up and she jumped on it, the hand lowering her down to floor level. Which didn’t really help seems he towered over her, even at the few metre distance.
”Well ‘scuse me but you don’t look like the kind of hero to be bouncing around helping civilians.”
Putting her hands on her hips and nodding at his slightly…nightmarish appearance, she hoped that would prove her point somewhat. It was then she was given another unpleasant shower. She pursed her lips and turned to see if the fire brigade were the ones doing it, or another helper. Well, since there were no sirens. Rayne waited for the next comment this…Person…Was going to make but he stopped. Confused she turned herself, and saw the shrubbery dancing around and scooping up water, flinging it onto the fire. Mouth gaping slightly she stared at the scene before jumping back .
”Woah.”
Was she seeing this right? Of all things, Rayne couldn’t begin to understand why plants would be helping put out a fire. They burnt though...Her eye caught the…thing? Conducting the greenery. A woman? She squinted to get a better look. Just about. She was covered head to toe in plant type…Stuff. Honestly, Rayne didn’t know what to make of it. Turning back to the guy who was asking her the same question she was just thinking.
”Uh…Yeah…I am, I think.”

The shrubbery came back around to re arm themselves with water once again. That’s when Ashtin noticed she had been spotted. Yellow orbs turned from the plants and her work to glance at the other two. They seemed to be bewildered. It almost made the girl uneasy. In all honesty if the fire had been done and gone, she would have been too. She gave a small half-hearted smile and waved before turning back to the work at hand. “They act as if they’ve never seen a mutant before.” she thought with a small laugh.
It was then that Ash recognized Kane. Though it had been a while since their last meeting, it was hard not to tell that it was him. After all there are not many people who have bat wings and claws. The other woman however the girl had never seen before. She appeared to have multiple arms, bet that came in handy from time to time.
Though the woman dared to get close enough to the fire to direct the water where it was necessary, she would pay for it later. It would take a few days of ‘recharging’ and sun light to get her back into tip top shape. But that’s what happens when plants get close flames. They wilt and lose their shine. Luckily Ashtin had reserves that prevented immediate damage, much like the other greenery surrounding them. Again the smaller plants flung water towards and engulfed area, attempting to put out the life eating flames. Whoever started this mess needed to be punished. But Ash doubted very seriously that they would fine whoever was responsible. After all, hundreds of people passed through Central Park. It was hard to tell who had been and who had gone.

Kane scratched his head, still rather bewildered by the sight in front of him... it was definatly... odd. Really looked like it was something straight out of Fantasia. Now he had to watch that later. Hopefully he could find someone that had it that would let him watch it... at their house. He didn't have a tv. They probably had it at the mansion. He'd have to get one of his friends to let him in.
He shook his head away from the strange sight in front of him and turned back to the fire. Kane shook his head a bit and moved over toward where the the tree was, catapulting, the best he could, the water up into the air so it would rain down over the trees. His wings couldn't really toss it up very high though, it hurt to much. But he managed to toss it high enough that it put out a bit of fire, and got him even more soaked. He groaned slightly, hoping his pants wouldn't shrink to much.
He couldn't afford to get to many more pairs of them. His pay was completely pathetic. He should probably get a better job... but it wasn't exactly that easy. He'd dropped out of high school just before his senior year to help his mom by getting the job. There weren't exactly a lot of places that he could work, or would let him work there. He had always wanted to be a cook though....
