Name:
Alexandra Rose Jacobs
Nicknames:
Alex, Lexie.
Code Name:
Shifter
Age:
18
Gender:
Female
Powers/Special Abilities:
Alex’s main ability is shape shifting into animals. She is able to shift into more common forms, such as cats and horses with more ease than tigers and pandas. And unfortunately sometimes she does so uncontrollably, shifting into the animal which relates to her mood and emotions. Any form larger than the average human and keeping it for a prolonged time will definitely physically exhaust Alex, the same with very small forms. Although not perfected, Alex is able to communicate with animals if her form is the same.
Appearance:
She stands at 5”6, and has a good build, due to the fact she must exercise to keep up with large forms. She has long fiery red hair and brown eyes, and her skin is slightly tanned. Her dress sense is original, as she often adds her own parts to clothing, along with creating her own. She wears a lot of scarves and skirts with leggings, trying to look non-conformative, but at the same time not looking too loud.
Personality:
Alex is a pleasant person to be around. At first sight, she may seem to be slightly shy, but once one gets to know her better, she is very lively and intelligent, but at the same time caring and considerate. Unfortunately, Alex is an awful liar, which often lets her down at the best of times. Being a good listener, Alex is understanding and open, unwilling to judge those as she wouldn’t want to be judged herself. She has an excellent sense of humour, very often lightening sad moods and due to being clumsy, she is able to conjure up a laugh whatever the situation. On the dark side, Alex can become extremely frustrated and stubborn, plus lashing out at times, but she is forever the first one to return and apologise.
Hobbies:
Designing, sewing, creativity, drawing, writing, reading.

History:
Alex was born to Lucy and David Jacobs in Brooklyn, New York. Her mother was a worker for a number of charities, most helping out in Africa for conservation of animals, and aiding the starving children and helping those with aids, while on the other hand her father was a Lawyer. She grew up in a very lively house-hold, always running around after time deadlines, but Alex soon adapted to such crazy lifestyle. Unfortunately, Alex didn’t get to see her mother as much as she could have, for she was busy protesting and saving everything in need, she grew much attached to her father.
Because of her mother’s constant absence, this lead to a number of heated arguments, and her parents eventually divorced when she was eight. Her parents made an agreement of equal custody over her, and she spent the next couple of years visiting each parent. Extremely spontaneously, her mother chose a different job choice as a writer, and thus wrote about her experiences in Africa. It took it a while, but her mother’s books soon gained interest, bringing money back into the home. Of course, even though they were divorced, her father did send her mother and her money to help out financially.
At twelve, her father re-married, and at that time, her mother had a steady boyfriend, thinking of marriage herself. To begin with, Alex hated the idea, but soon grew to live with it and like it, because she got on well with the extended family.
When Alex was fifteen, her life changed drastically. Because of her vibrant hair color, she was perfect prey for bullies. They would throw things at her, and ruin her work, do whatever they could to make her life a misery. She didn’t speak a word to either parent, for their lives were perfect, and Alex would rather put up with the bullying than see either her mother or her father worry for her. This was the wrong choice, of course. The bullying went on for a year, until she eventually stood up to the main instigator, when they hurt her friend extremely dear to her. This lead to a fight, and Alex’s mutant gene had shown over the year. The anger turned her body into a bear, and she almost crushed the girl. Without being able to hold it in any more, she ran from school and told her mother, who didn’t reject her, much to Alex’s surprise.
Keeping her from school for the rest of the week, Alex returned only to find the students still scared of her being. Even her closest friend was frightened of her, but soon returned because of how she stood up to the girl who had tortured them both for a year. A few weeks passed, and slowly everything turned back to normal. Just about. After that, a boy in her year approached her and told her he was also a mutant. Of course, Alex didn’t believe this, and the boy, Tyler, showed her his powers. Soon they struck up a friendship, and that soon turned into a romance. They were boyfriend and girlfriend for two years, before his family were moving to California, and Alex wouldn’t meet him again. After a great many hours of tears, Alex found comfort in her old friend.
Another year dragged on, and after graduation, her mother sprung the idea of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters on her. She denied at first, sure she could cope with her abilities. Soon enough, after much persuasion, she agreed to the school. After a tearful goodbye to her best friend and her family, she left for the school.
Role Playing Sample:
”Frog!” Sophie squealed, jumping up and down on her bed. Instantaneously, a bright coloured tree frog sat on her head. It hopped off, landing in her lap, much to Sophie’s surprise.
They always played this. Always. The tree frog jumped up and turned back into a puffing Alexandra.
”Tired already?”
”Pssh.” I’m… Just …Getting… Started!”
There was a short silence. She waited.
”Wolf!”
It wasn’t long before she had finished saying it, a grey wolf jumped on her, slobbering on her face. She squealed in disgust. The wolf jumped back on the carpet and again, Alexandra took its place, sweaty. She flopped on the bed.
”Alright, enough. I can’t… Reach… Ten. You… Win.”
She dug in her jean pocket and pulled out ten bucks, handing it to a very proud Sophie.
