Name:Rowan Galilea Taylor
Nicknames:Leia, Rowe
Code Name: Scream
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Powers/Special Abilities: Rowan is an illusionist and an empath. From the age of 5, she has had them and they weren't very large powers, somewhat subtle and easy to manage. She got headaches quite often, and without her parents thinking, they had a psychiatrist diagnose her as depressed, only because her parents didn't realize that she was an empath. After the cure happened, she lost her powers for a minumum of six months and then they came back in a fury of overwhelming power that she didn't have before. She would lock herself in rooms, hoping to block out the emotions and put illusions in children's heads without meaning to and drive them crazy.
Appearance:
Personality: Rowan is a very sheltered, conserved person. She tries so hard to ignore them, the emotions and things rattle through her head, so that she can leave the institution she was forced into. She hides her emotions from other people and when she tries to show them, they come up in a flurry of anger and remorse. She is bad at making friends, because she feels all of the backstabbing and disloyalty from other people. She fears that people will be all the bad things she's feeling and not enough of the good.
Hobbies: Her hobbies include making up new illusions for her to put into her doctor's heads. She also makes up illusions, or daydreams in this case, for herself, of what the world is like outside of the institution.
Weapons/Equipment/Skills She has no weapons other than her head games.
History: Rowan Galilea Taylor was born into a family that was misunderstood. A family of open minded parents whose two lovely daughters ended up with the mutant gene. And for that reason, the parents were punished. The punishment that was meant for the children now left only the guilt that on the night of the house fire, which was by no means an accident, the two ladies were at friend's house, the murder was only of Rowan and Lyric's parents, Emmerson and Naomi Taylor. Rowan was only a mere 7 years in age.
Rowan and Lyric were then sent to an orphanage for young women, which was a horrid place. Their orphanage was actually also a finishing school for little girls and they ended up being the housemaids. After many years of the suffering of the not only the finishing schoolgirls, but also the servant orphans. Once the cure came out, there was nothing that would stop the house mother from dragging them down there and placing them one of the first in line.
Rowan despised the house mother, wouldn't speak, not for six months, until little by little Lyric's powers came back and then, Rowan's came back in a fury so large that Rowan's only choice was one that tore up a house and ended up with her locked in the basement and a little blonde girl with a coma. The house mother then brought her to mental institution in New York City, which was coinciding with the High Security Prison there.
Role Playing Sample: Rowan walked through a hallway until the dead end she received was not one of a brick wall, but a cage wall, that lead to the rest of the prison. Suddenly the emotions of the rest of the prisoners were flying through her head. Anger, guilt, and she couldn't take it. She shreiked and fell to the ground covering her ears as if the shreik was not her own and it was ear piercing.
Not soon after, a guard was with her and they dragged her away, her tugging and confused the entire time. Her head was pounding. They injected something into her arm and then her tugging was no more. She let her feet drag on the solid floor. Her hair covered her eyes and she started to cry. Just when she was starting to improve. They dragged her into a room in which she had been into many times before.
She sat, staring at the table through the curtain of her long, straight hair. She thought about the falling of autumn leaves off of a tree, one at a time. She hasn't seen fall in a long time. She wondered what season it was. The psychiatrist asked questions in which she ignored. "Why did you scream? Were you frightened? Did you see something in the prison that scared you?" And yet, Rowan still ignored her.
