Age:
20

Female
Powers/Special Abilities:
Naomi has the ability to manipulate and generate radiation, thus having immunity to toxic radiation and a heatproof body. Her black gloves are created to withstand a limit heat of 4300 degrees. Her powers range from a low setting on a radiator, to the core of the earth’s temperature untill her gloves must come off. Her absolute limit is the core of the sun, millions of degrees, which even harms herself. She can transfer heat from herself to another object, with or without touching it, and in the dark her eyes let her see clearly. The blacks gloves stop all usage of her powers unless removed, seeming she has not much control over it and its potential. Her forms of radiation can melt metal and other substances. Though her drawback is water, her powers are useless in rain or her skin being wet, due to all her protective clothing. Even though she can swim and walk in the rain, she is without ability her skin is wet.
Appearance:
Personality:
Withdrawn, distant and reluctant about speaking, Naomi is forever wrapped up in thoughts, thus having an almost permanent from on her face, and when she does speak, her tones are hushed and mostly inaudible in a crowd full of people, and even in quiet places, she speaks softly. Still, her demeanour changes slightly if she is brought to fight, where she makes on a grim and slightly harsh actions. To others, she would seem depressing and moody, which is mainly right, for her personality crashed after an incident involving her fiancée. She is often seen hunched around her knees and staring dismally onward, which is not inviting to most. Despite being gloomy, if friends are made, which is rare, Naomi treats them with respect and some she becomes close to and if given the chance, and if she fully trusts them. She does smile and laugh though it is scarce to be seen and heard.
Hobbies:
Even though she may not seem as flexible as a first impression may be, Naomi has a fairly high amount of energy, being active when young, she can climb and jump with a fair amount of ease, being a good athlete.
Weapons/Equipment/Skills
Naomi carries around a black revolver with her, tucked inside her coat, for the back streets of New York do not beckon women for fear of their gangs.
History:
Born from an Asian family in New York, Naomi was an active and curious child, time after time getting herself into weird and often scary situations, forever worrying her mother as to her whereabouts. Her family were mostly all from the Japanese decent, apart from her father, who lived in New York and married her mother whilst on a business trip to Asia. Her name was to be Naomi, both from Japanese and English language.
Nao grew up a wild and happy child, always seen with a wide Cheshire like smile on herself, mostly associated with some act of mischief, which she was forever causing. At preschool, Naomi attracted friends due to her lack of behaviour, not necessarily being badly behaved just simply having no boundaries to what she could and couldn’t climb on, reach or jump from, and not to tear around the place with her friends, causing one too many toddler stampedes.
As Naomi grew older, her intelligence grew at a rate with her. Even though being smart, she still had popularity, plus being attractive to some male population. By the time Naomi had entered her high school, she knew nothing about the mutant gene dwelling inside her until a day at the beach, where a factory had been dumping toxic waste and high amounts of the same toxic radiation were being emitted. She was thirteen, when a chemical reaction occurred, and a flame, caused the whole building to detonate right near where she was sitting.
She was exposed to radiation which reacted with the mutant gene inside her, and due to burns she was hospitalized for a number of days though a smile still never failing on her face.
Coming out of hospital, Nao began to notice drastic changes over the next year. She felt she could warm herself up in winter months, all at will. This she kept quiet to herself, for she was secretly scared of it and took to anonymous websites and searching in every scientific book she could get her hands on, to no avail. This secret she kept under covers until she was sixteen, when she found her powers beyond her control so much she had to tell her parents, who had been told about her and about the mutant gene, thus not taking it well and blaming each other for her mutation, therefore she was handed a pair of black gloves for her seventeenth birthday, which would control her powers.
Naomi left her school and not soon after, she met a friend at a place where mutants could be at peace from the world, which soon blossomed into a relationship. He taught her everything she was to know about her powers, and how to use, and control them seeming they were at a hazardous rate already. With nothing else planned for her future but her fiancée, which at nineteen, she was going to marry.
There was nothing else Nao could think of, for the weeks leading to her wedding, until she had the news, her fiancée had been killed. Not only in a car crash, or a heart attack for simply being a mutant and an easy target in their eyes, a gang had surrounded him, and beat him to the point the wounds had so much effect he couldn’t live. Devastated, Naomi’s future had been torn away, as if a page from a book. She couldn’t side with the X-Men, for they tried to side with the killers of her lover, and being a neutral mutant was not enough. The only place she could turn to was the Brotherhood, and secretly be in leagues with it.
Her personality took a turn to what it is currently, and she trailed around the city in a black car, visiting the Brotherhood now and again. She steered clear of other mutants and humans, basically being an outsider to the world of New York, now and again falling into that world and rarely appearing unscathed. Regularly, Naomi finds herself having to defend herself looking an easy target to humans who would want to eradicate mutants from the Brotherhood.
Role Playing Sample:
Naomi sat on a park bench, her gloved hands cuddled around her knees. She stared out at the darkening sky, snow falling from it in a slow pace, enough for her to stare at individual flakes as she passed her line of view. Resting her chin on her knees, she watched the humans passing, going back to their homes, children, wives and…Husbands. Her eyes pricked. She blinked a number of times before rising to her feet, and gazing across the tall buildings of the city.
Her heart ached. She felt as if a permanent thorn had been pushed in her heart, ever since he died. And she knew, it was time to let go. But the tear the fell from the pale pallor of her face proved otherwise. She wiped her face, trying her best not to let any more tears free. And set away, the night drawing in.
She folded her arms and kept her gaze skyward, on the way to the Brotherhood hide out, even if she felt she didn’t belong there. She wanted someone, anyone to talk to her. She felt alone in the world, and right now she wanted him, to wrap his arm around her shoulders and make his usual jokes about the brains of society, or funny looks he would get, even if he looked completely human that would cause Nao to continuously giggle. Then call her beautiful.
But that never happened anymore.
It never will.
