Name:
Chase Rodriguez
Nicknames:
His bright hair color and prestigious strength has gained him many nicknames from children at his school, though they didn't last every long sice they found out he could crush them if he was a very ill-tempered kid.
Age:
17
Gender:
Male
Powers/Special Abilities:
Super Strength, Chase can and probably will lift anything thrown at him, inspired by weightlifters that couldn’t lift what was found extremely easy to him. Though every power has limits, his phobia doesn't help when in confined spaces, even though he does push himself, his known limit is six hundred tonnes. Though, Chase is all too willing to try and go over this limit, by pushing himself.
Note: 600 tonnes = Weight of one and a half jumbo jets.
Appearance:
Bright orange spiky hair and brown eyes, slightly muscled build, and almost all the time a bored expression on his face. Taller than most people, Chase wears casual jeans and slogan tops, with worn trainers.
Personality:
Extremely laid back and mostly lazy, Chase does not prefer to use a lot of brain power, mostly only muscle power. Even though he himself isn’t angered easily, he tends to make un-thoughtful comments, which are mostly not on purpose, for he has a habit of not keeping thoughts to himself and outwardly speaking his mind.
On the other hand, he can become extremely angry when provoked, or highly depressing.
Hobbies:
Pushing his powers as far as they can go, lifting whatever he can get his hands on. He has never exploited any other talents he may have, his brute force has led him to feeling he is good for nothing but destroying things.
History:
Born In America, Chase discovered his powers at a very young age, he was stronger than all the boys in his class, breaking a few arms in arm wrestles and moving desks like paper, the children picked on him in defence. For, they were afraid of what he might be holding back, and possibly what he could do, they played pranks on him, knowing he had been told not to lose it, at one time locking him in a cupboard at a part when he was nine.
Despite he could just smash his way out, Chase was extremely claustrophobic. While momentarily locked in that cupboard, he couldn’t do anything but have a panic attack. People who have tried to resolve his phobia have no leads to what may have brought on his fear, the only thing a mutant psychiatrist assumed it must be a side effect of his power.
Growing up was difficult and sometimes easy for Chase. He became fascinated by weightlifter when he grew twelve, and would watch their struggles to life tyres and so many other things of high weight. He would turn to his parents and state why he could life that and they couldn’t, and would be answered by uneasy looks and claimed it was all just an ‘act’. His parents had kept that he was a mutant a secret, which the whole idea of it was astounding. They had lied he was just much stronger than others when passing people stared at him when he lifted a car to retrieve a lost football.
Investigating, and when he showed his friends his skills when fourteen, they only scoffed and accused him of cheating. Then, after he hauled a van full of tools on his shoulders without breaking a sweat, they became extremely wary of him and labelled him a mutant.
Truly astounded be these words, Chase told his parents, and secrets were spilled. They knew he was a mutant since birth, they hadn’t told him he pulled off a wooden piece of his cot, twice, and how he used to bend his highchair to the point of breaking to slip out of it, and make holes in baby gates. Hurt and feeling betrayed, Chase took to his room for a year, isolating himself from everyone and setting himself apart from his family, raged at them, and at his power.
Coming across talk about an institute while idly surfing the internet, mutant wannabes wrote about it and rambled on about being a mutant. Willing to escape from his home to go anywhere, he surfed and surfed, finally coming across where to find it.
Role Playing Sample:
Chase sat, slumped with his back up against a tree, hands jammed into his pockets and legs straddled, staring down at the floor, as if it needed his attention urgently. Normally, he would be doing his best to sit in the tree, but the damp grass suited his mood.
He didn’t know where the hell he was, or was going. What was the point in asking humans where the Xavier’s institute was? He would be given the strangest looks, a mutant walking up to them and blatantly revealing their mutant being. And he was neither in the mood for blunt and babbled replies.
He’d probably sit where he was, until he could find a mutant. Then ask them. His eyes rose up to glance across the street. Mutants weren’t easy to discover just a brief look at a street. They hang out in alleys, or cause havoc, and sure, the ones who cause havoc aren’t going to be on the side who try to make peace with people.
Letting out a defeated sigh, Chase got to his feet slowly. Wherever the silver lining of being a mutant was, he couldn’t see it. Or, he wasn’t looking hard enough.

Just so when role-playing with him, and not knowing why he hates confined spaces, Chase is very claustrophobic, also unfortunately being Merinthophobic, which is the fear of being tied up and Pnigophobia, the fear of being smothered. Due to his powers, restrictions on that is an idea that caused his fears.
